CHIARO DI LUNA, Rosè, PIEDMONTE, 2009
Azienda Agricola Valdinera

Located in the heart of Piedmont near the city of Alba, the Valdinera estate has been farmed by the Careglio family for four generations.  At present, it consists of about 41 acres of which 22 are vineyards. Currently, “Beppe” Careglio grows Barbera, Favorita, Nebbiolo and, of course, Arneis.

Uncertified Organic Wine (Producer states they do not use artificial fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. While we cannot prove the veracity of this, we also have no reason to believe it is not true.)

Tasting notes: Here's a twist: a wine from Piedmont made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes - but pink, not red. Clean, crisp and refreshing, this elegant wine certainly lives up to its pedigree!
