Ronco dei Pini’s 35 acres of vineyards are located in the rolling hills of Friuli in the north-eastern part of Italy, bordering Slovania. More precisely the winery lies nestled in the hills between Prepotto and Spessa di Cividale with most of the grapes grown in the DOC area of Collio Goriziano. Ronco dei Pini is owned by Claudio and Giuseppe Novello, who took it over in 1997. Notes about this wine:Claudio and
Giuseppe, along with other leading wineries of Friuli, have turned away from
the production of bland and indistinctive Pinot Grigio. These Friuli winemakers
have returned to the old method of fermenting the grapes on their skins, which
adds just a hint of color as well as boosting flavor. We are certain you will enjoy this change! Tasting Notes: Elegant, full and firm in body, with minerally and citrusy flavors. |
