Located
in the hills of Castellina in Chianti, you will find the 380-acre
property of
Fattoria Camporeri. Their 90-acre vineyard includes Sangiovese,
Canaiolo,
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines. Recent years have been spent in
modernizing their winemaking techniques and replanting of many vines
which has
resulted in the production of really good tasting Tuscan wines.
A
"Super Tuscan" without the "super" price. No sappy vanilla
extract. This is just an honest wine, packed with ripe,
dark-berry aromas and flavors, all intermingled with a hint of
earthiness. The name "Selva del Moro" means "Forest of the Stranger" hence the picture of a stag in the forest on the front label. VINTAGE - 2005
“Fresh and bright, this blend of 60 percent
Sangiovese with 20 percent each Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is a rare
"Super Tuscan" style wine for less than $20. Youthful and
fruit-focused, it's made with no barrique aging; fresh but structured, tart
cherries and snappy Tuscan acidity."
